#BlogTour #ASilentTruth by Rachel Amphlett This is a stunning read, folks! Check out my #review NOW! @RandomTTours @RachelAmphlett

It’s day one of the blog tour for Rachel Amphlett’s A Silent Truth, book four in her Detective Mark Turpin series, and boy…What a BOOK!

Before I share my thoughts, here’s the blurb…

When the body of a young woman is found by the side of a quiet country road, police first suspect a hit and run.

Then a darker side to the victim is uncovered – a dangerous addiction that led to her violent death.

With little sympathy from a local population, Detective Mark Turpin faces a daunting task to track down her killer.

When a second victim dies after a ferocious attack, Mark realises someone is determined to hide the truth.

Both victims kept to the shadows of society – will their secrets die with them?

A Silent Truth is the fourth book in the Detective Mark Turpin series from USA Today bestselling author Rachel Amphlett.

Wow wow wow! After my review today, you can keep up with the rest of the tour by following these amazing bloggers:

Huge thanks to Anne Cater at Random Things Tours for my spot on the tour.

Here are my thoughts…

This was my first read in this series, but it will not be my last. What a stunning read.

Jumping in at book four isn’t something I’d normally do, but the blurb on A Silent Truth hooked me in and having read Rachel’s previous series, I knew I was in for a treat.

Detective Mark Turpin is a great character, and I loved how Amphlett gave me details from his previous books without going into so much detail it ruined this book for those who’d read the others. I could understand his past more than enough to enjoy this instalment without wondering what had happened to him and his team.

And what a team they are.

Turpin starts this book on restricted duties after their previous case, so he’s watching a murder investigation from the sidelines – which is hard going, not only for him, but for the team too. That is, until they discover a potential link between the suspicious death and some unsolved cases Turpin’s been looking into.

This was such a quick read for me. It was fast paced, thrilling, and kept me hooked from the start. As the momentum built, so did the tension, and it didn’t let up until the last page.

I bloody loved it and it deserves ALL THE STARS!

I’m off to get the first three books now so I can find out exactly what happened to bring Turpin to where he is now, and I cannot wait for book five. It’s such a thrill to find a new series and I’m beyond excited to get reading the other books.

If Amphlett could bottle her writing skill and sell it, she’d be a billionaire.

Go buy A Silent Truth, folks…It’s amazing!
