Good Samaritans is one the most twisted and thrilling books I’ve ever read!
Will Carver is a genius with a wicked talent …
Here’s the blurb …
ORENDA BOOKS (27 Sept. 2018)
One crossed wire, three dead bodies and six bottles of bleach.
Seth Beauman can’t sleep. He stays up late, calling strangers from his phonebook, hoping to make a connection, while his wife, Maeve, sleeps upstairs. A crossed wire finds a suicidal Hadley Serf on the phone to Seth, thinking she is talking to The Samaritans.
But a seemingly harmless, late-night hobby turns into something more for Seth and for Hadley, and soon their late-night talks are turning into day-time meet-ups. And then this dysfunctional love story turns into something altogether darker, when Seth brings Hadley home…
And someone is watching…
Dark, sexy, dangerous and wildly readable, Good Samaritans marks the scorching return of one of crime fiction’s most exceptional voices.
My thoughts …
What a stonkingly brilliant book!
Good Samaritans is my first experience of Carver’s work but it will not be my last.
As the blurb tells us, Hadley thinks she’s called the Samaritans but a crossed wire means she’s got through to insomniac Seth.
I’m not going to say anything else about the plot, it’s one of those books you need to read without any preconceptions so that you can experience it the way I did – with no idea what’s going to happen.
What I will say is that Carver has created a brilliant cast and a world so wicked I gasped, I laughed, I shouted, I felt all the emotions.
Good Samaritans is not for the faint-hearted; it’s gritty, raunchy, dirty, sexy, dark, and twisted. I was creeped out and shocked to the core and I LOVED every second of reading this one.
It’s one of those books I wish I’d never read so I could re-read it and experience it all over again. All you bookworms yet to read it are in for such a treat, I’m so jealous!
Go and buy it NOW!
Huge thanks to the author and the team at Orenda Books for my spot on the blog tour, what a superb book!
