Logan’s thoughts …
I’d love to see a cockroach with shoes on! They’d have to buy loads of pairs!
My favourite part of this book is the pictures of glow worms … their bums light up! Can we get some?
I liked finding out all about the different bugs in the world and seeing where they live and what they do. It’s funny that there are bugs who dance!
I also like dung beetles, they make big balls of poo! I bet they stink!
The videos are good too and we got to look at the unusual places bugs live, and the sounds they make. It’s good!
My thoughts …
Logan and I had lots of fun reading this bright and beautiful book about bugs and their environment.
The pictures are beautiful, a combination of stunning photographs and illustrations.
A well-thought-out collection of silly questions young children will have about grubs and bugs and the answers. It’s told in easy to understand terms, so you can read it with younger children and the complimentary videos help to reinforce the text.
An all-round great book which wouldn’t be out of place in the classroom.
Huge thanks to the authors and Rachel at Rachel’s Random Resources for our spot on the blog blitz today!

About the authors …
Two Umbrellas is an educational publishing company that fuses education and storytelling. We offer books and activities to help parents and educators empower tomorrow’s leaders.
Our founders, Anthony Puttee and Addie Broussard, love to travel. Anthony’s favorite trip was to Antarctica and he has included some of his personal photos in this book. Addie has traveled solo around the world. While in Portugal, she encountered a unique insect, which inspired a children’s book called The Beedog, which was published in 2018. The idea for Do Bugs Wear Shoes came from a playful team meeting on a rooftop in Mexico.
