What a belting debut this is, quite shocking that it is a debut to be honest.
Lies Between Us starts with a bang and we’re thrown in at the deep end and spend the rest of the book treading water as we attempt to make sense of what’s going on.
Dragged straight into the story, it was practically impossible to put this one down and I read in no time at all.
Turner has a real talent for storytelling, she has a way with words that captivates, and the ability to make each word count, which isn’t easy!
I was completely enthralled by the story of John, Maisie, and Miller – what a bloody trio of characters! They were all believable and I was absorbed in their stories from the off. As we already know, John’s daughter goes missing and there are some utterly heartbreaking scenes as the search for her continues.
I adored that Turner chose to tell this in third person and to split the chapters between the three main characters, it gave a depth to the plot that allowed me to completely become enthralled by all that was going on and to immerse myself into the life of each of them.
Told in now and then chapters which build up to what’s happening now, Turner seamlessly switches from past to present and allows us an insight into the events that have led to today’s goings on.
Lies Between Us is a wonderfully wicked debut and an absolute must-read for all crime fiction fans! Go and get your copy NOW!!!

Ronnie Turner grew up in Cornwall, the youngest in a large family. At an early age, she discovered a love of literature and dreamed of being a published author. Ronnie now lives in Dorset with her family and three dogs. In her spare time, she reviews books on her blog and enjoys long walks on the coast. She is currently working on her second novel.
