#BlogTour #Blink by KL Slater @KimLSlater @Bookouture

I am delighted to be on the blog tour today for the fantabulous second book by K.L Slater, Blink.

And you lucky lot are getting double the Emma fun today as I am sharing a tour date with the amazing Emma over at damppebbles

Here’s the blurb . . .

Blink: A psychological thriller with a killer twist you'll never forget by [Slater, K.L.]

What if the person you love most in the world was in terrible danger … because of you?

Three years ago, Toni’s five-year-old daughter Evie disappeared after leaving school. The police have never been able to find her. There were no witnesses, no CCTV, no trace.

But Toni believes her daughter is alive. And as she begins to silently piece together her memories, the full story of the past begins to reveal itself, and a devastating truth.

Toni’s mind is trapped in a world of silence, her only chance to save herself is to manage the impossible. She must find a way to make herself heard. She must find her daughter.

A compelling, gripping thriller with a breathtaking twist that will keep you awake until the early hours. Perfect for fans of The Girl on the Train, Behind Closed Doors and The Sister.

My thoughts . . .

Kim has done it again with Blink and managed to produce a most thrilling book.

When Toni’s life has fallen apart, she tries to rebuild it. Boy does she try. But she cannot seem to catch a break then, when she does, her daughter disappears without a trace. Toni’s world falls out from underneath her and as the search is eventually dwindled back, it seems as though the truth about her daughter will never be discovered.

I thoroughly enjoyed this amazing plot, it is totally enthralling, brilliantly deceptive and bitterly twisted.

For me it started a little slow in terms of  Toni trying to get her life together but around the half way line there is enough going to really get those criminal minds thinking, who is doing what and why and what are they doing that for and why did she say that?

I’ve mentioned before when reviewing that there is a point in most books when the pace picks up and you are left unable to stop reading, there is a point where you know that you will not be stopping until the very last word has been read and when it happens in Blink, the pace does not let up one bit and it is thrilling!

And the ending, full of shocks and five little words that made me sob for ages afterwards!

I would highly recommend this to any crime fan, it’s a brilliant read.

Many thanks to Bookouture and the author for my review copy.

Kim is a full-time writer and lives in Nottingham with her husband, Mac. Between them they have three grown-up kids; Kim’s daughter, Francesca, and Mac’s sons, Nathan and Jake.
